Be Ready for Your Wedding Day with These Five Treatments

Be Ready for Your Wedding Day with These Five Treatments

Your wedding day lasts forever.

You’ll display your photos and videos for the rest of your life, and the day will live on in the memories of all who attended.

If yours will be one of the two million weddings that will occur in the United States this year, you’ll naturally want to look your best.

At Skin Med Spa, we’re here to enhance your natural beauty so you’re in tip-top shape for your wedding day. Here are five treatments to consider:

1. Botox

Botox is one of the most popular cosmetic treatments before a wedding. It’s a fantastic treatment for smoothing out lines and wrinkles on your face, such as crow’s feet at the corners of your eyes and furrows in your forehead.

Botox works by keeping the muscles in your face that form the wrinkles from contracting, making your face smooth and unlined. To allow time for the procedure to take effect and for any necessary adjustments, get your Botox treatment one to two months before the wedding.

2. Dermal fillers

You can use dermal fillers to plump up any areas of your face that have lost volume and fullness over time. You can also enhance your facial contours to give yourself a more youthful appearance.

Dermal filler effects are noticeable right away, but to give your face the time it needs to look natural and settled, get this treatment a month or two before your wedding as well.

3. Microneedling

Microneedling improves your skin texture and appearance by helping to diminish sun damage, acne blemishes, fine lines, enlarged pores, and more. We use very fine, sharp needles to cause tiny micro-injuries in your skin.

Your body’s resulting healing response then boosts collagen and elastin production, giving your skin a refreshed, youthful look. Start these treatments three to six months before the wedding.

4. Laser treatments

Laser treatments can help you spruce up before the wedding as well. You can opt for laser hair removal, which takes away the need to shave or wax before the big day. (Start this six months before the wedding so you have time for all the treatments.)

Laser skin resurfacing can help remove layers of damaged skin to help get rid of sunspots, wrinkles, and imperfections, and improve texture leaving your skin rejuvenated and fresh. Do this several months before the wedding for best effects.

5. Facials and peels

You want that wedding-day glow for your photos, right? Facials and peels will help your skin radiate by removing your top layer of old, dead skin cells to reveal fresh, new, vibrant skin cells underneath. Peels come in various strengths, depending on your needs.

You should have a peel anywhere from a week to a month before the wedding to give time for best results. Facials can occur just before the wedding to give your skin a moist, supple look so you’ll have that wedding-day radiance.

As you’re planning your big day, our team at Skin Med Spa would be honored to be part of the process. To plan your treatments, set up an appointment with us by calling our Downers Grove office or scheduling your own time online.
