The difference is what surrounds the active molecule: Botox carries accessory proteins from its manufacturing process, while Xeomin is double-filtered until nothing remains but the active ingredient — which is why it's often called the “naked” neurotoxin.
A small number of long-term neuromodulator users gradually develop antibodies to those accessory proteins, and their results start fading faster or stop appearing at all.
