Curious about
Botox?

What is
Botox?

Botox® is the most studied wrinkle treatment in aesthetic medicine — a purified neuromodulator that relaxes the small facial muscles responsible for expression lines.

When those muscles stop over-contracting, the creases they carve — forehead lines, the “11s” between your brows, crow’s feet at the corners of your eyes — soften and smooth.

Treatments are quick and precise: a handful of tiny injections placed exactly where your face needs them, nothing more — with results that typically hold three to four months.

At Skin Med Spa, every unit is placed by a board-certified nurse practitioner who maps the dose to how your face actually moves — not a one-size template.

Most Botox appointments take 15–30 minutes from consult to finish — easy to fit into a lunch break.

You can return to your normal day immediately. Slight redness at the injection points typically settles within hours.

Our providers dose conservatively and precisely, softening lines while keeping your natural expression.

Results emerge within days, peak around two weeks, and typically last three to four months.

When expression lines outstay the expression, that’s when we talk about Botox.

Botox is a considered recommendation, not a default. Our board-certified nurse practitioners study how your face moves and dose conservatively — a plan sized to you, never a template.

Lines Linger at Rest

Forehead creases, the 11s, or crow's feet stay visible even when your face is fully relaxed.

Makeup Settles into Creases

Foundation and concealer gather in lines they used to glide over — a sign the crease is deepening.

You'd Rather Prevent Than Correct

Softening strong expression muscles early keeps dynamic lines from etching in permanently.

A Milestone on the Calendar

Weddings, reunions, big meetings — book two to three weeks ahead so results peak on schedule.

Not erasing
who you are.

Revealing who
you’re becoming.

Botox is priced per unit, and the number of units depends on the areas treated and how your muscles move. After a quick consultation, your provider will quote an exact total before any treatment begins — no surprises.

All three are FDA-approved neuromodulators that work the same way. They differ slightly in formulation — Xeomin is the “naked” one, purified of all accessory proteins — as well as onset and price. We carry all three at Skin Med Spa, and your provider will recommend the best fit for your goals.

Most patients describe it as a quick pinch lasting a second or two per injection point. The needles are extremely fine, and no numbing is usually needed — though we can apply a topical numbing cream if you prefer.

Stay upright for the first 4 hours — no lying flat or rubbing the treated area — and skip heavy exercise for 24 hours, along with facials or massages. Makeup is fine after a few hours with a gentle touch. You'll leave with these instructions in writing, too.

Botox isn't recommended if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, have certain neuromuscular conditions, or have an allergy to any of its ingredients. Your provider reviews your full health history during the consultation to confirm it's right for you.
