Laser hair removal works by sending light into the pigment of the hair follicle, disabling it at the root so hair simply stops growing back.

Plan on six to eight sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. Hair grows in cycles, and the laser only disables follicles in their active phase, so full clearance takes several passes through those cycles.
Shave the area within a day of your visit, and skip waxing, plucking, and sun exposure for a few weeks beforehand. The follicle needs to be present for the laser to target it, and untanned skin keeps treatment settings optimal.
Treated follicles are permanently disabled, and most patients see lasting smoothness after a full series. Hormonal changes can wake stray follicles over time, which a quick annual touch-up handles easily.
