What is ResurFX?

ResurFX is a non-ablative, fractional laser skin resurfacing treatment. That just means it’s gentle and only affects a portion, or a fraction of your skin. Because the laser is fractional and can target cells directly, it can provide a noticeable improvement to your skin with minimal discomfort and downtime. 

Skin conditions that respond well to the treatment include:

• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Mild discoloration (age or sun spots)
• Stretch marks
• Mild-to-moderate scars from acne or surgery
• Loose skin

How does it work?

ResurFX works as a skin resurfacing treatment by using the heat energy from the laser to stimulate deeper layers of the skin to begin production of new collagen and elastic fibers. As the new collagen is produced, your skin becomes firmer, tighter, more even, and more youthful.

ResurFX was developed by laser medical experts. It delivers the laser to the skin in a precise fashion and integrates a cooling system to keep you safe. The treatment is FDA-approved and has been clinically shown to get results. Each treatment session takes about 30-45 minutes. Our expert team will apply a topical anesthetic to the area scheduled to be treated to make sure you are comfortable.

Though you can begin to see changes after the first treatment, results are cumulative, so it usually takes three or four treatments to achieve the best look.

After each treatment, your skin will feel hot and irritated, similar to a sunburn. You may have some redness and swelling, so plan on going back to work the day after your treatment. Make sure to avoid the sun for a few days and apply moisturizer several times a day to help the area heal well.
