How long does Xeomin last?

Xeomin lasts about 3 to 4 months, like the others. Its distinction is purity: it is a "naked" toxin with no added proteins, which may matter if you have stopped responding to other neurotoxins.

Xeomin is a botulinum toxin type A that has been stripped of the accessory proteins that surround the active molecule in other products. The active ingredient is the same class, and the duration is the same practical 3 to 4 months, because the mechanism is identical.

The reason purity comes up in consultations is antibody resistance. A small number of long-term neurotoxin users gradually develop antibodies to the complexing proteins, and their results start fading unusually fast or stop working well. Because Xeomin carries none of those extra proteins, it is often the switch we consider for someone who used to get great, lasting results and no longer does.

For a first-time patient, you likely will not notice a duration difference between Xeomin and Botox. Onset is comparable, a few days to a week for full effect.

As with every neurotoxin, the honest levers on longevity are correct dosing for your muscle strength, consistent maintenance, and your own metabolism. Purity is a meaningful edge for a specific group, not a universal upgrade.
