How long does Botox last?

Most people get 3 to 4 months from a Botox treatment. Your first round often fades a little faster, and the area treated changes the number more than most patients expect.
Botox relaxes a muscle by blocking the nerve signal that tells it to contract. That block is temporary, and your body rebuilds the connection over roughly 3 to 4 months, at which point movement and lines return.
Where it goes matters. The frown lines between your brows and the forehead usually hold 3 to 4 months. Crow's feet are similar. The masseter (jaw) for slimming or clenching tends to last longer, often 4 to 6 months, because the muscle is large and dosed heavily. Underarm Botox for sweating can run 6 months or more.
Your first-ever treatment sometimes wears off in 2 to 3 months. This is normal. With consistent treatment every few months, many people find results hold slightly longer over time because the muscle stays trained down.
Dose, your metabolism, and how expressive you are all shift the timeline. Chasing "longer" with too little product usually backfires, since underdosing fades fastest. The honest goal is the right dose for your anatomy, not the cheapest unit count.
