Rosacea and diffuse redness usually take a series of 3 to 6 treatments, since it is a chronic condition that needs maintenance. Discrete facial spider veins often clear in just 1 to 3 sessions.

These two concerns are related but respond differently, so the session count splits.

Facial redness and rosacea are addressed with IPL or vascular lasers that target the tiny dilated blood vessels driving the flush. Because rosacea is diffuse and chronic, a series of 3 to 6 sessions is typical to bring the background redness down, and periodic maintenance is expected. This is the honest part many explanations skip: treatment manages rosacea very well, but the underlying tendency remains, and new vessels can form over time. Combining in-office treatment with trigger management and good skincare is what keeps results durable.

Discrete spider veins, the individual visible vessels around the nose or cheeks, are more contained. These often respond in 1 to 3 sessions because you are targeting specific vessels rather than a whole field of redness.

Downtime for both is minimal, usually some redness or mild swelling for a day, and occasionally a treated vessel darkens briefly before clearing.

A candid conversation about rosacea being a managed condition, not a one-time fix, is what sets accurate expectations. People who understand the maintenance rhythm are the happiest with their long-term results.
