What is the downtime for the Italian Peel?

Downtime is minimal. Expect mild redness the day of and light, powdery flaking for roughly 3 to 5 days, not the heavy sheeting of an aggressive peel.

The Italian Peel is a bio-revitalizing peel, meaning it pairs controlled exfoliation with actives that stimulate renewal and hydration rather than simply stripping the surface. That design is why it sits in the low-downtime category. It refreshes tone, improves dullness, and smooths early texture without forcing the skin through a dramatic recovery.

Here is what the days actually look like. The day of treatment your skin may feel tight and look slightly pink, similar to light sun exposure. Over the next few days you may notice fine, dry flaking as the surface renews. It is subtle enough that most people continue their normal routine and cover it easily. Aggressive peeling, where sheets of skin visibly lift, is not the expected course for this peel.

Two rules protect your result: do not pick at flaking skin, and stay diligent with sunscreen, since freshly renewed skin is more vulnerable to pigment changes. Skipping sun protection is the most common way people undo a good peel.

Best results come from a short series rather than a single treatment, spaced a few weeks apart to build on each round.
