How long does Jeuveau last?

Jeuveau typically lasts 3 to 4 months, comparable to Botox. Some patients feel it holds a touch longer in the frown lines, which is where it was originally studied.

Jeuveau is a modern botulinum toxin type A, made specifically for aesthetic use rather than adapted from a medical product. Functionally it behaves like Botox: it quiets the muscle, softens the line, and wears off as the nerve connection regenerates over about 3 to 4 months.

Its FDA approval was built around the glabellar lines, the "11s" between the brows, so that is the area with the strongest data. Head-to-head studies against Botox for frown lines show similar duration, with some showing Jeuveau holding marginally longer at comparable doses. In real-world use the difference is small enough that anatomy, dosing, and injector technique matter more than the brand on the vial.

Onset is a common reason people like it. Many notice movement softening in 2 to 3 days, slightly faster than the typical Botox window.

If you have used Botox and felt it faded quickly, switching to Jeuveau is a reasonable experiment, but the more common fix is reviewing whether you were fully dosed for your muscle strength.
